We’ve Upped Our Game

We’ve upped our game and we’re pretty stoked on it. After quite a bit of planning, and a whole lot of incredible research on Sam’s part we’ve really been able to level up our gear list and it shows in our work. Here are a few of the big changes we’ve made at Bunker Hill Media and how they’re going to help us better help you.

1. We are now FAA Drone Certified Pilots - In the ever-evolving landscape of video production, the integration of drones has revolutionized the way content is captured, offering dynamic perspectives and cinematic shots that were once only possible with costly equipment or extensive resources (aka helicopters). Have we dabbled with some drone videography? Sure. But have we ever really been confident in exactly what we were doing / did we actually offer this as a service to our clients? Not a chance, but that’s changing now. Sam and I have put in hours and hours of study & practice and now our team is a proud holder of a FAA remote pilot certification. What’s really important about this is that we are now legally able to offer commercial drone services as a part of our packages for our clients. So real estate agents and developers listen here, because we want to work with you!

   What’s really important to note here – besides being able to offer a service – is that possessing an FAA remote pilot's license demonstrates a commitment to legal compliance and safety standards. Operating drones for commercial purposes without proper certification not only violates federal regulations but also poses significant risks to public safety and property. Moreover, the FAA license has allowed us to lean into obtaining essential knowledge of airspace regulations, weather conditions, and emergency procedures. This knowledge not only enhances safety but also allows for more efficient planning and execution of aerial shots, ultimately elevating the quality of the final product. Staying on top of regulatory requirements and obtaining proper licensure positions BHM for future growth and adaptation in an evolving content landscape. In essence, we’re really excited to be able to deliver you an even higher product value than we already do, and we’re going to make sure it’s done the right way!

2. Our FX3 has quite a few more bells and whistles - like a lot more…. so much more that we had to purchase a FLYCAM vest to hold it up for longer than a minute. In addition to our shiny new vest we really tricked out our kit to get our set up to a place where we know we’ll make even more epic footage for the businesses we work with.    Okay and that’s about it! Just kidding, this is quite a bit and we’re really proud of our new set up. We’ve used it on two shoots now and we’ve really noticed a big difference in our final product. I think of all of new gadgets we’ve added to the kit, the Holyland Monitor is my favorite. Being able to see our shots up close and personal on every shoot here on out is a really great feeling.
